Who we are

CodeLounge (SMC-Private) Limited ("CodeLounge", "we") is a software engineering company registered in Pakistan, at H. No 485 Block E2, Wapda Town Phase 1, 54770, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This policy covers codelounge.io and the software services we operate for our clients, including Codelounge Messaging, our integration with the WhatsApp Business Platform. This website

Contact form: the name, email address, company and message you send us. The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, and hCaptcha checks that the sender is not a bot.
Email and WhatsApp: if you write to us, we receive your email address or phone number and what you send.
Analytics: only if you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics records which pages are visited and roughly from where. If you decline, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
Server logs: our hosting keeps technical logs (IP address, browser, page requested, time) to keep the site secure and working.

We use this information to answer you, to run and improve the website, and to protect it. We do not sell it.

Codelounge Messaging (WhatsApp Business Platform)

Codelounge Messaging lets a business connect its own WhatsApp Business account to software we build and run for it, through Meta's official sign-up flow. The business decides to connect, and can remove our access at any time in its Meta Business settings.

Once a business connects, we can access, on that business's behalf:

the WhatsApp Business account details: account ID, phone number, display name, profile and message templates;
messages sent and received through the WhatsApp Business Platform for that number: the customer's phone number and WhatsApp profile name, the message content, and delivery and read status.

We use this data only to provide the service to that business, for example sending the order confirmations, sign-in codes or other messages the business's systems trigger, receiving its customers' replies and showing them to the business. The business is responsible for the data (the controller); we process it on its instructions. We do not use it for our own marketing, do not sell it, and do not use it to train AI models. Meta processes WhatsApp messages under its own terms and privacy policy.

If you received a WhatsApp message from a business that uses our service, contact that business first about your data. We will help them handle your request.

Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform), for Codelounge Messaging;
our hosting and infrastructure providers;
Web3Forms and hCaptcha, for the contact form;
Google, for analytics, only if you accepted the cookie banner;
authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside Pakistan. We only use providers that protect it under their own published terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact, unless we start working together.
Codelounge Messaging data: for as long as the business uses the service. When a business disconnects or asks us to, we delete its data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep part of it.
Server logs: kept for a short period for security, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have these rights under the GDPR and can also complain to your data protection authority. We answer requests within 30 days.

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children.

Data deletion

To have your data deleted, email info@codelounge.io with the subject "Data deletion request" and the email address or phone number concerned. We confirm by email once it is done.

A business using Codelounge Messaging can also remove our access itself: in Meta Business Suite, open Settings, then WhatsApp accounts, select the account and remove Codelounge Messaging. We then delete that business's data within 30 days.
