Telemedicine without the waiting room — or the intake form
Getting timely medical advice meant long waits, travel and endless intake forms. Livemedy connects a patient to the right professional over secure video, around the clock, in under a minute.
The problem: the delay is the illness experience
For most of what sends somebody looking for medical advice, the clinical work is short and the waiting is long. Patients were spending days getting an appointment, time travelling to it, and a meaningful part of the consultation itself repeating information into intake forms.
Telemedicine products often reproduce that structure on a screen: register, fill in a questionnaire, request a slot, wait for confirmation. That is a scheduling product with video attached. The brief here was the opposite — make the default interaction immediate, and treat scheduling as the exception.
What we built
Instant video consultations with no lengthy questionnaire in front of them, across five professional categories — doctors, dentists, psychologists, dietitians and veterinarians. Appointment scheduling and professional search exist for the cases that need them, but they are not the path of least resistance.
Around the consultation sits the clinical record: e-prescriptions, e-reports, and a secure space where a patient’s medical data stays in one place rather than scattered across whichever clinic they last visited. That store is end-to-end encrypted.
Result
Patients reach the right professional from home in seconds rather than days, with their records kept private and in one place.
Working on something similar?
Real-time video with clinical obligations attached is its own engineering problem: the call is the easy part, and the record-keeping, identity and availability model around it are where products fail. If you are building in this space, we have already made the mistakes.
Book a call and we will scope it with you.
